A successful political campaign goes into overtime.
#nachhaltigdenken (“think sustainably”) – Successful political campaign goes into overtime.
05.12.2024At the end of last year, the German legislature amended the Fuel Emissions Trading Act (BEHG). This means that thermal waste recycling will be included in the national fuel emissions trading system from 2024, contrary to the concerns of experts and industry associations. The #nachhaltigdenken campaign informed the public about the consequences of the amendment.
Since 2022, EEW has set itself the goal of informing the public about the consequences of CO2 pricing on waste that is already generated. This successful campaign was extended in 2023. But topics relating to sewage sludge recycling, landfilling, sorting and CO2 capture and utilization (CCU/CCS) are also addressed and discussed.
CBE DIGIDEN supports EEW Energy from Waste GmbH in the conception and implementation of communication measures and campaigns. The successful collaboration is now in its third year and is extending existing topics on the web, at trade fairs, in personal contact with political decision-makers as well as with customers and partner companies. Internal communication is also made easier by an understandable preparation of complex issues and contexts.
A wide variety of communication measures are used, such as trade fair appearances, personal letters to political decision-makers, interviews with specialists, film formats, online presence and social media contributions. The involvement of several associations and the development of synergies are also important aspects.
For CBE DIGIDEN, it is important to bring such relevant topics that affect us all into dialogue. Climate protection, ecologically and economically sustainable waste recycling and the efficient use of valuable resources are socio-politically relevant topics. We therefore believe that they are meaningful and are particularly important to us.
With thermal waste recycling, EEW Energy from Waste makes an important contribution to climate and resource protection. In the group’s current 17 modern plants, around 5 million tonnes of waste can be recovered for energy and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner every year. EEW efficiently uses the energy contained in the waste and generates process steam for industrial plants, district heating for residential areas and environmentally friendly electricity.
