Deutsche Post DHL – Multimedia courses
CBE DIGIDEN implements DPDHL GoGreen Tunnel in the DHL Innovation Center.
21.11.2024Visitors can learn about the topics interactively in a multimedia course.
The DHL research and development center in Troisdorf, located between Cologne and Bonn, provides DPDHL business customers with information about the company’s technologies and services. Visitors can learn about the topics interactively in a multimedia course. The crowning conclusion is the presentation of the contents of the GoGreen program.
From sustainability theme to business area
GoGreen has emancipated itself from a pure sustainability theme to a business area of DPDHL, which includes monitoring CO2 emissions as well as CO2 reduction and CO2 compensation. This complexity needs to be conveyed in a clear and understandable way for visitors. The aim of the presentation designed by CB.e is therefore to present the “big picture” and the interaction of the individual product pillars of GoGreen.
Therefore, when visitors to the GoGreen Tunnel enter the tunnel, their first glance falls on a large, illuminated world map, which symbolizes the harmony but also the fragility of the ecosystem. A suitably trained guide then welcomes guests “Welcome to the world of GoGreen”.
Following the introductory words, the guide moves on to the GoGreen business area. To do this, visitors turn to a world map dedicated to the presentation of GoGreen. The heart of this presentation, in addition to the reproduction of key figures on GoGreen and an introductory image film, is a visualization of GoGreen’s three product groups and how they interact within the logistics chain. The interaction of animation and explanation by the guide conveys the most important aspects of GoGreen to visitors. On further levels, basic parameters for influencing the CO2 balance and specific GoGreen projects are made interactively accessible.
A multimedia touchscreen application
CBE DIGIDEN is also developing a multimedia touchscreen application consisting of four synchronized screens, integrated into an orthogonal panel grid.
The four monitors form a connected image area. The GoGreen offer is gradually brought closer to visitors using videos, animations and interactive levels.
- An image film conveys the origins and demands of GoGreen.
- An animated film explains the various product groups of the program using a simplified logistics chain.
- An interaction level conveys the potential of the products through interaction, whereby the visitor can solve a small task for each product group using the touchscreen.
- The fourth level presents concrete implementation examples from DPDHL, which the user can access via a navigation unit.
The entire system is linked to a media control system via an interface. This enables the guide in the GoGreen tunnel to activate and navigate between the individual levels of the application.
