For the energy transition:
Acceptance communication
for the electricity network development plan
Achieving acceptance for the expansion of the electricity grid with accompanying communication
21.11.2024In 2022, it will be 10 years since the four German transmission system operators (TSOs) 50Hertz, Amprion, TenneT TSO and TransnetBW presented the first electricity network development plan (NEP). It shows how the German high-voltage grid must be developed so that the energy transition can succeed and Germany can become climate-neutral by 2045. From the very beginning, CBE DIGIDEN has accompanied the TSOs in this project with comprehensive advice on acceptance communication to all stakeholders.
As the central hub of a project with participants spread across Germany, CBE DIGIDEN is working in a topic area that could hardly be more topical. Because the energy transition affects us all. To make it possible, joint effort and mutual acceptance are necessary. The TSOs have made it their mission to do their part in the success of the energy transition with the highest level of transparency and a willingness to engage in dialogue with all those involved. All measures and steps are based on an appreciative and objective exchange and participation within the defined framework.
Diverse acceptance communication
From corporate design and logo to reports and brochures, from implementation and evaluation of the consultation to live and digital events, from websites to collaborative software, from explanatory films to interactive graphics – all instruments are planned as sustainably as possible and consistently developed in line with the respective political and social framework conditions. With a clear, objective design, even an expert publication that is now almost 800 pages long is designed appropriately and clearly. Acceptance communication means the willingness and ability not only to provide facts, but also to communicate them in an understandable way: Background knowledge about the energy transition, grid planning as a core competence of the TSOs or how to forecast the energy system of the future is clearly presented on the website www.netzentwicklungsplan.de.
The exchange with stakeholders at expert level is just as much a part of it as the public consultation on the draft of the electricity grid development plan. For this purpose, CBE DIGIDEN has integrated a consultation portal into the website and developed its own software for recording and processing the consultation contributions. The public participation with statements in the five-digit range can thus be recorded in real time, quickly catalogued and processed in compliance with the highest security standards. And that is just one of the digital applications that were developed jointly for the cooperation of the four TSOs in this project. In the end, it is about driving forward the energy transition and communicating to people the importance of grid expansion.
