In January 2011, AOK Berlin-Brandenburg and AOK Mecklenburg-Vorpommern merge to form the new large AOK Nordost. The 6,000 colleagues meet for the first time at the staff meeting, which is intended to lay the foundations for a new “AOK Nordost spirit”.

Under the motto “Writing history together”, the staff meeting becomes a forum for getting to know each other and exchanging ideas. Various interactions bring the new colleagues closer together: they can post their questions in advance via the online voting tool “Ask the Board”, vote on questions from colleagues and thus help shape the agenda together. A film team visits locations in all three regions and captures employee opinions on the merger. The colleagues who hold the fort when advising customers over the phone are connected live to the staff meeting.

The highlight of the event is the choir of the new AOK Nordost, a team from across all hierarchies, which reinterprets the song from the current AOK advertisement in front of around 6,000 colleagues.
